Curtain Call XXXVII — Nude Audience Live Theater Night: Party

The WildFyre Society co-presents with South Florida Nudist Men two more fabulous, nude audience theater performances of the comedy, Party at The Foundry at Wilton Theater Factory on Thursday and Friday, June 10 and 11, 2021 at 8 p.m. Also known as "The Abyss," it is located at 2306 N Dixie Hwy, Wilton Manors, FL Audience nudity is mandatory. There will be no pre-performance reception. Curtain time is 8:00 p.m. The play runs about 105 minutes and, in a late change, there is about a fifteen-minute intermission. Gather in front of the theater 15 minutes in advance. Bring a face covering (required!), a towel to sit on, and a gym bag or backpack for your clothes. See below for additional, COVID-19 requirements. There is limited parking in the lot behind the building and on the street in the immediate area. Plan to arrive with enough time to obtain parking and to walk back to the theater. Public transit is available to within a few blocks of this location; get directions for bus or bike from your starting point. About Party, by David Dillon: A group of seven gay friends get together for a kiki in mid-1990s Manhattan. The evening is full of campy comebacks, Broadway references, and naughty party games. As the evening progresses, the guys start to play a version of "Truth or Dare" in which they must answer intimate questions and act out sexual fantasies, all the while shedding an article of clothing with each round until they all end up naked. The dialog is hilarious but also turns poignant as it touches gently on darker themes, including a painful coming out, unrequited love, and the loss of friends in the AIDS epidemic unfolding around them. The play contains male nudity, strong language, and sexual content. The WildFyre Society last presented this five years ago at Empire Stage under different direction. Party is an exercise in group affirmation fitted to a 'Friends'-like structure. Maximum capacity on each date is 30 (due to social distancing), regardless of the seating arrangements for other dates. SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS FOR THE PANDEMIC 1) You must wear a facial covering (mask over nose and mouth) to attend. Hand sanitizer is provided. 2) Your forehead temperature will be taken prior to admission, and it must be less than 100° F. 3) Check in 15 minutes in advance of curtain. Maintain social distancing.
