The WildFyre Society co-presents with South Florida Nudist Men another fabulous, nude audience live theater event for the Off-Broadway play, Slap & Tickle at Empire Stage on Sunday, May 19, 2019. It is located at 1140 N Flagler Dr, Fort Lauderdale. (This is a different location from where our recent theater events have occurred.) Audience nudity is mandatory. There will be a pre-performance reception starting at 4:00 p.m. with complimentary wine (tips appreciated) plus soda, water, and snacks for purchase. (Bring cash.) Curtain time is 5:00 p.m. The play runs 90 minutes and there is no intermission. Bring a towel to sit on and a gym bag or backpack for your clothes. There is ample parking in the lot behind the building and on the street. Public transit is available to within a few blocks of this location; get directions for bus or bike from your starting point. About Slap & Tickle: This is a funny, sexy, and provocative play by David Parr about modern gay man's quest for sexual and emotional fulfillment in a landscape changed over the past 25 years by drugs, politics, HIV, and the Internet. Six actors portray twenty recurring characters whose lives all intersect in surprising, humorous, and revealing ways. The stories they share range from first kisses to last loves, from on-line hookups to off-line breakups, and from sleeping-bag seductions to bathroom rapes. Like Terrence McNally’s The Ritz and Eve Ensler’s The Vagina Monologues, Slap & Tickle shines fresh light on the darkest of places, giving voice to the defining experiences of our lives that are too often kept silent. What emerges is a play not just about sex but also about our universal desire to connect. This play contains adult themes and male nudity.
